JOB OVERVIEW:
The successful candidate will manage software development projects where the project involves more than one Scrum team in the organisation. This role requires a high-energy, self-motivated, structured, analytical individual with strong people and project management skills. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic, diverse, fast-paced, continually evolving, and results-driven environment.
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
- Developing project scope and objectives.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Develop and maintain a detailed plan to track progress and provide status feedback to stakeholders.
- Manage key deliverables/tasks with the internal team.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Perform risk management, manage risks, and escalate when needed.
- Manage operational activities within a scrum team.
- Manage several projects concurrently (multi-tasking).
- Provide day-to-day stakeholder liaison and be responsible for relationship management, project management, and delivery.
- Manage resource allocation levels.
- Manage the delivery of change through the Agile Scrum processes.
- Coach the team to effectively apply Agile methodologies.
- Escalate commercial issues, where appropriate, including potential business opportunities.
- Play an active role in the Project Chapter - collaborating with the peer group.
- Financial management of the project and the Scrum team.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Matric Certificate.
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification.
- Certified Scrum Master.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- At least 5 years of work experience in an IT Project Manager role in a fast-paced software development environment.
- At least 3 years of proven experience as a Scrum Master of software development teams.
- Experience using JIRA for Scrum and Kanban boards.
- Experience working in a data environment.
ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:
- PMP/PRINCE II experience/certification.
