DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

The Software Development team seeks a highly motivated and dynamic individual. The role involves testing products that optimise merchandise planning, purchasing, and movement. Candidates with a strong financial background or financial testing experience are preferred. Success in this position requires rapid technology adoption, a strong commitment to deadlines, a creative approach to testing processes, and the ability to effectively interpret business requirements. Enthusiasm and innovation are essential qualities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain test cases for retail processes with financial implications.
  • Test cases should be designed to:
    • Ensure data accuracy and consistency.
    • Include positive and negative scenarios to validate user acceptance criteria.
    • Verify compliance with user and application security standards.
    • Confirm consistency in software user experience (UX).
  • Oversee end-to-end testing across multiple teams and systems.
  • Prepare and submit testing reports to the team manager and business as needed.
  • Record and monitor defects from identification to resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to detect and address defects early in the software development lifecycle.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Pilot phases in collaboration with other teams.
  • Test all aspects of the financial impact within the retail process.
  • Identify, document, and verify issues in assigned projects.
  • Manage the testing efforts across multiple projects simultaneously, either in full or in part.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Matric Certificate.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 5 years of experience in a Financial role - preferably in Retail or Manufacturing.

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:

  • An ISTQB certificate or equivalent would be advantageous.
  • Technical proficiency is advantageous but not required for this position.
