We are looking for a Technical Systems Manager who can develop, service, maintain, and grow relationships with our retail partners. This role will be responsible for the Company Group eCommerce products which include a headless Magento implementation, Akeneo PIM, and our PAXI parcel service. 

You will be responsible for the full life cycle of these products across retail brands which you will achieve by working with business product owners and stakeholders in defining the strategy and roadmap and guiding and influencing them on a technical level. You will ensure products are developed efficiently, within budget, and using the most suitable technologies by working very closely with 2 (or more) development teams. You will need lead and influence to achieve the desired outcome. You should be comfortable managing ambiguity and complexity. You must have a blend of business and technical knowledge that includes a big-picture vision and the capability to make that vision a reality


  • Manage multiple business stakeholders
  • Accountable for the delivery of value as defined by the Product owner and ensuring quality solutions and system stability
  • Define and maintain long-term Product Technology Roadmap(s) and align with company technology strategy.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on best practices in the product team environment.
  • Apply product and organizational knowledge to lead the product team
  • Accountable for overall system design & technology choices
  • Identify and manage technical debt
  • Provide technical mentoring to the team
  • Ensure strong, most appropriate development methods are followed.
  • Accountable for team documentation
  • Create User Stories and Technical documentation to expand on business requirements (including System interaction diagrams and wireframes)
  • Approve change controls & manage production incidents
  • Accountable for team time logging
  • Hold team and individuals accountable for their commitments
  • Evaluate the performance of team members.
  • Provide technical status updates (also in cross-team projects);
  • Represent the scrum team at cross-team meetings

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology


  • 10+ Years experience in an IT management role in a product-focused business
  • Experience in having the ability to manage budgets and resource requirements effectively
  • E-commerce industry experience and knowledge
  • 5+ Years experience in an Agile environment
  • 5+ Years experience with a headless Magento and Akeneo PIM implementation
