JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Integration Developer (.NET/SSIS) to join our team on a 12-month contract. This role is ideal for a candidate based in Cape Town, although the position offers flexibility with no strict in-office requirement. The developer will contribute to a range of internal systems and integration projects, working with a modern Microsoft tech stack in a fast-paced fintech environment.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

The Senior Integration Developer (.NET/SSIS) will be responsible for analysing change requests and understanding their technical implications before planning and implementing enhancements or new features.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse change requests and determine technical impact.
• Provide implementation estimates.
• Maintain and enhance existing internal applications.
• Build or update system interfaces, particularly SOAP and SFTP-based.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS.
• Design, code, test, and deploy features using .NET Framework technologies.
• Support XML/JSON-based web services.
• Provide incident support and root cause resolution.
• Implement features in alignment with Sanlam Fintech architectural direction.
• Ensure clear technical documentation and handover.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• .NET C# (NET Framework 4.5/4.8)
• SOAP and RESTful web services (incl. SOAP UI)
• SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
• MS SQL Server (2019+)

• GIT, JIRA
• Unit testing frameworks

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or .NET certifications).

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in software development, with a strong focus on .NET (C#).

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:

• Certification or training in SQL Server/SISS would be advantageous.
