JOB OVERVIEW:

An opportunity exists for a Data Migration Consultant (Junior) to join a specialist data consultancy. This role is designed to provide structured training and practical exposure in data migration, SAP solutions, and consulting skills. Over the course of a 3-month training programme, the successful candidate will develop proficiency in SAP Data Services, SAP Migration Cockpit, and other ETL tools, as well as demonstrate strong ability in SQL within a data analysis environment. Upon successful completion of training, the consultant may be assigned to projects, depending on availability and suitability.

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

The Data Migration Consultant (Junior) will participate in training, workshops, and project support activities. Responsibilities include preparing and validating data files, developing load scripts, extracting, transforming and loading data, documenting requirements, and supporting testing processes. The role also requires interpreting functional specification documents, providing input during knowledge transfer, and contributing to project activities in line with SAP Activate or other agreed methodologies. Effective communication with team members and clients, attention to detail, and a service-oriented approach are key to success in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• BSc degree in Computer Science or a related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 1-2 years of working experience in SQL.

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:

• Familiarity with SAP Data Services, SAP Migration Cockpit, or other ETL tools.
• Understanding of SAP data management and data quality principles.
• Exposure to the SAP Activate methodology or similar project frameworks.
• Experience with data analysis and cleansing techniques.
