Job Description:
The Autosys Administrator will be responsible for the installation configuration maintenance and optimization of Autosys job scheduling environments This role involves working closely with development operations and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable and timely execution of enterprise batch workloads
Key Responsibilities
Install configure upgrade and maintain Automation AE Autosys environments
Create modify and manage Autosys job definitions JIL scripts for batch processes
Monitor daily job runs troubleshoot failures and coordinate with application teams for resolution
Ensure high availability and performance of scheduling infrastructure
Perform Autosys database maintenance and cleanup activities
Implement security best practices manage access control and maintain audit compliance
Analyze and optimize job workflows to improve system efficiency
Maintain disaster recovery plans and participate in DR testing
Provide 24x7 support in a rotating on-call schedule
Document procedures configurations and operational guidelines
Required Skills Qualifications
Proven experience in Autosys administration preferably v11 or higher
Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux and shell scripting
Familiarity with Windows server environments for cross-platform job scheduling
Experience writing and managing JIL Job Information Language scripts
Good understanding of job dependencies calendars and scheduling concepts
Knowledge of Oracle or other RDBMS for Autosys backend database maintenance
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and coordination abilities
Preferred Nice-to-Have
Experience with Autosys to ControlM or other scheduler migrations
Familiarity with ServiceNow or other ITSM tools for incident/change management
Understanding of enterprise-level batch processing in banking telecom or largescale IT environments
Scripting in Perl Python or PowerShell for automation tasks
Knowledge of Cloud-based workload automation integrations
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience
