About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in OpenText Documentum to develop, configure, customize, and maintain enterprise content management solutions. The role involves backend and frontend development, platform configuration, database integration, troubleshooting, and collaboration across software development teams.

Job Description

The role focuses on designing and developing clean, efficient, and maintainable software solutions using the OpenText Documentum platform. The engineer will work across the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system design through implementation, debugging, and maintenance.

The position requires hands-on knowledge of Documentum components, APIs, workflows, application servers, development tools, and database technologies. The engineer will also be responsible for maintaining technical documentation and working collaboratively with team members to deliver reliable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and configure backend and frontend applications using OpenText Documentum.
• Design, customize, and maintain Documentum-based business applications.
• Work with Documentum APIs, DQL, REST APIs, workflows, and platform components.
• Integrate applications with databases and work with SQL-based data access.
• Configure and customize Documentum D2, xCP, and InfoArchive solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and technical issues.
• Collaborate with development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical and user documentation.

Required Skills

• OpenText Documentum development and configuration.
• Documentum Content Server, JMS, ACS, Repository, Thumbnail Server, DFC API, DQL, REST API, Composer, and BOF Jobs.
• Xplore, Brava, ADTS, OTDS, CSSAP, and ASSAP.
• Documentum D2 configuration and customization, including D2FS, C2, O2, and D2 Workflows.
• Documentum xCP, including xCP Designer, xDA, process templates, Java Services, and Query Models.
• InfoArchive configurations, retention/holding jobs, connectors, search, forms, REST APIs, export, and customization.
• SQL and database integration experience.
• Application servers such as WebLogic and Tomcat.
• Development tools including Postman, DqMan, Eclipse, and Linux Shell.
• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and software development practices.

The ideal candidate will have 7–11 years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on expertise in OpenText Documentum and related components such as D2, xCP, and InfoArchive.
