We are looking for a qualified electrician to join our construction team. The responsibilities of the electrician include reading electrical drawings, installing wiring and fittings, terminating and testing cables, and troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults on site.

To be a successful electrician, you should be able to read and interpret electrical drawings and circuit diagrams and work safely with live and de-energised systems. Ultimately, a top-notch electrician should be precise, safety-conscious, and comfortable working outdoors in all weather types.

Electrician Responsibilities:

  • Reading and interpreting electrical layout drawings and circuit diagrams.
  • Installing wiring, conduits, trunking, and cable trays as per specification.
  • Installing and connecting distribution boards, switches, sockets, and fittings.
  • Terminating and testing cables and connections for safety and continuity.
  • Installing earthing and bonding systems in line with regulations.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults on site.
  • Carrying out routine inspection and testing of installations.
  • Ensuring all work complies with UAE electrical safety codes and site regulations.
  • Coordinating with other trades to avoid clashes with electrical routing.
  • Maintaining accurate records of work carried out.

Electrician Requirements:

  • KCSE
  • Kenyan Passport (valid, minimum 1 year validity)
  • Certified Grade Test
  • 3+ years' working experience
  • A completed apprenticeship in electrical installation.
  • A valid electrical trade certificate.
  • Certification in electrical installation is an added advantage.
  • Basic work experience in construction may be advantageous.
  • A good understanding of health and safety issues, including electrical safety.
  • The ability to read and follow technical plans, drawings, and circuit diagrams.
  • The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Good physical fitness.
  • Strong practical, analytical, and teamwork skills.
