Hotel & Fuel Station Operations Manager Department
Job Description:
Job Purpose
The Hotel & Fuel Station Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the hotel and fuel station. The role will oversee staff, customer service, sales, stock management, financial controls, safety, compliance, maintenance, and general business performance.
Hotel Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, including reception, housekeeping, restaurant, and kitchen operations.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hospitality, and customer service.
- Monitor bookings, room occupancy, sales, and revenue.
- Supervise hotel staff and prepare duty schedules.
- Handle customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor food, beverage, and other hotel stock to control wastage and costs.
- Ensure proper cash handling and daily reconciliation.
Fuel Station Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of the fuel station.
- Monitor fuel deliveries, stock levels, sales, and daily fuel reconciliation.
- Ensure accurate recording of fuel received, sold, and remaining in stock.
- Supervise pump attendants and other station employees.
- Monitor cash collections, reconciliation, and banking.
- Identify and report fuel losses, variances, or operational irregularities.
- Ensure the fuel station is clean, safe, and professionally maintained.
Staff Management
- Supervise, motivate, and evaluate staff across both operations.
- Prepare duty rosters and monitor attendance and punctuality.
- Ensure employees follow company policies and procedures.
- Address performance and disciplinary issues in accordance with company procedures.
- Identify staff training and development needs.
Financial & Business Management
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
- Control operational costs and minimize wastage.
- Monitor revenue and profitability for both the hotel and fuel station.
- Ensure proper handling and accountability of company funds.
- Prepare regular management and performance reports.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve profitability.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable hotel, occupational health and safety, environmental, and fuel station regulations.
- Ensure proper fuel handling and storage procedures.
- Maintain fire-safety equipment and emergency procedures.
- Conduct regular safety and operational inspections.
- Ensure all required licenses, permits, and statutory requirements are maintained.
- Report accidents, incidents, and safety concerns promptly.
Maintenance & Asset Management
- Ensure buildings, equipment, fuel pumps, and other company assets are properly maintained.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Monitor contractors and service providers.
- Maintain proper maintenance records.
Customer Service & Business Development
- Maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Develop initiatives to increase hotel occupancy, restaurant sales, and fuel sales.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement service improvements.
- Identify new business opportunities and revenue streams.
- Maintain the professional image and reputation of the business.

Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or degree in hospitality management, business management, operations management, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years' relevant experience in hotel management, fuel station management, retail operations, or general operations management.
- Experience managing multiple business operations will be an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, financial management, stock control, and staff supervision skills.
- Good communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
