About the job IT Officer

The person will provide both hardware & software support to the Group. They will maintain the computer networks of all types, providing technical support and ensuring the whole Database & Systems runs smoothly, as they monitor and maintain all computer systems, installing and configuring hardware and software as well as solve technical problems.

R&Rs

  1. Manage the Groups IT infrastructure including its IT Systems (HRMS, Time & attendance, Microsoft 365, QuickBooks, etc).
  2. Managing IT inventory and controlling the IT budget allocation.
  3. Formulating and implementing the Groups IT policy and best practice manuals
  4. Setting and establishing timelines for IT projects such system updates, migrations, upgrades, and outages.
  5. Organizing workshops and training programs for staff on system improvement & usage.
  6. Identifying, testing, evaluating, and deploying new systems/technology.
  7. Conducting routine evaluations of network access and data security and preparing system reports for management.
  8. Establish a good working relationship with staff, vendors, and other customers.
  9. Engaging third party IT consultants, vendors, software developers and equipment Suppliers.
  10. Maintaining and monitoring IT systems and networks, and installing and configuring hardware and software
  11. Troubleshooting network and system issues and diagnosing software or hardware issues
  12. Creating documentation for technical support purposes
  13. Providing account/user support set up new users' accounts and profiles.
  14. To provide a link between the end users and vendors enabling the speedy resolution of issues encountered without taking the user away from the workplace.
  15. To work autonomously using own initiative and make decisions based on expertise and knowledge of Building based care processes, procedures, and Desired Experience.

Experience

  1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or IT.
  2. Certification in Database Management/Administration
  3. Minimum of 5 years Relevant Work Experience in IT field
  4. An all-rounded IT expert who can work under minimum supervision.
  5. Experience in managing Cloud/remote servers.
  6. Experience with Programming and Scripting Languages (Python, C++, Java, C#, or C) will be an added advantage.
  7. Demonstrable experience in ICT Project Management
  8. Good understanding of current IT security and Data protection standards
  9. A demonstrated passion for learning new technologies.
