Tool Maker - Metal Stamping

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Tool and Die Maker.
• In-depth knowledge of machine tools and their applications.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design schematics.
• Extensive hands-on experience with metalworking equipment, including drills, milling machines, grinders, and lathes.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills in tooling, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective corrective solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create and manufacture new punch and die tooling for progressive, compound, and other stamping operations based on design specifications.
• Set up and operate conventional and CNC machines, including grinding, milling, and EDM, to cut and shape metal with high precision.
• Assemble, test, and trial run new tooling to ensure proper function and performance before full production.
• Perform routine maintenance, trouble shooting, and repairs on existing stamping dies to keep them in good productive condition.
• Conduct quality checks on stamped parts to ensure they meet design specifications and industry standards.
• Work with tooling designers, production teams, and quality assurance to coordinate design layouts and resolve any production or tooling issues.
• Oversee tooling projects from concept to completion, managing timelines and ensuring resources are used effectively.
