Commodity / Sourcing Specialist

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Business Studies/Administration, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Minimum of 3 years of working experience in sourcing or supply chain management within the EMS or manufacturing industry.
• Must be able to work in the Senai, Johor area.

Job Description:

• Lead a commodity team in sourcing activities from initiation to completion for assigned projects, ensuring BOM cost submissions meet timeline and budget requirements.
• Supervise RFQ processes, cost studies, comparisons, and analyses; prepare supplier allocation proposals and coordinate new vendor setups.
• Strategically plan and execute RFQ events; participate in cost negotiations to achieve the lowest cost solutions and support annual cost reduction initiatives.
• Attend internal and external meetings with customers, ensuring all stakeholder and customer requirements are fulfilled.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business goals.
• Analyze and monitor commodity market trends to support sourcing decisions.
