About the role

We are seeking an experienced Security Analyst to join our dynamic and growing team. In this full-time role based in Christchurch. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the security and protection of our clients' digital assets and infrastructure. Your expertise will be essential in identifying, analysing, and mitigating potential security threats to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.

Job requirements

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Security Analyst or in a similar role within the Information & Communication Technology industry
• Strong understanding of security concepts, protocols, and best practices, including network security, endpoint security, and identity and access management
• Proficiency in using security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and incident response platforms
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively identify, investigate, and mitigate security incidents
• Solid understanding of relevant security standards, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Job responsibilities

What you'll be doing

• Lead and support security incident response across Softsource vBridge and customer environments, including breach analysis and remediation.
• Design, implement, and maintain security controls, policies, and frameworks to ensure robust protection across internal and customer systems.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and risk analyses, including internal and external security audits.
• Monitor and manage security access, ensuring accurate data handling and compliance.
• Provide actionable insights and reporting on the effectiveness of security policies, incident response, and disaster recovery plans.
• Continuously improve incident response and recovery processes based on breach investigations and threat intelligence.
• Actively contribute to the Security Team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Deliver expert security consultancy services to both internal teams and external customers.
• Provide hands-on security services, including configuration, troubleshooting, and remediation.
• Support pre-sales activities, including security solution design and bid responses.
