Regional Logistics Manager
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
- Distribution Management:
- Oversee all distribution center functions, ensuring continuous achievement and improvement of Quality, Productivity, Cost, and Service Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze and implement cost-efficient methods for utilizing time, space, and movement within the facility.
- Leadership & Staff Oversight:
- Serve as a strong leader, overseeing and mentoring the entire warehouse staff.
- Lead, coach, discipline, and train the team effectively.
- Strategic & Cross-Functional Support:
- Collaborate with company headquarters executives and managers to meet monthly sales goals.
- Ensure timely processing and shipping of sales orders to both dealers and distributors.
- Support strategic business initiatives and logistics organizational objectives daily.
- Vendor and Purchasing Management:
- Manage the operational relationship with third-party transportation and logistics providers.
- Handle the purchasing of all equipment and supplies for the Distribution Center.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 7 years of related experience, including management of typically two or more regular full-time employees (one must be exempt).
- 5-7 years of experience in distribution management.
- 2-3 years of experience in planning and inventory control systems.
- Skills:
- Strong background in management, including training in supervision, problem-solving, and motivational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, discipline, and train a team.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Distribution Center safety training and programs.
- Experience with budget management/financials.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and inventory control systems.
- Strong knowledge in freight transportation and shipping/receiving.
