Patent Prosecution Professional (Patent Agent or Attorney) - hybrid

 Job Description:

Our client, an Am Law 100 firm, is seeking a Patent Prosecution Professional (Patent Agent or Attorney) with 3+ years of experience to join its highly regarded Intellectual Property team in the Los Angeles or San Francisco offices.

Key Requirements

  • Technical Expertise: Experience in wireless telecommunications, including 5G/6G technologies and WiFi, is required. Additional background in power devices, analog circuits, medical devices, software, mechanical devices, or 3D printing is a plus.
  • Education: A degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Patent Experience: Demonstrated success in drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications. Familiarity with patent databases and search tools is highly desirable.
  • Skills & Attributes:

    • Intellectual curiosity and excellent academic credentials.
    • Strong organizational, writing, and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively in a team environment.
    • Desire to excel in a large law firm setting with client-facing responsibilities.
  • Professional Requirements: Membership in the U.S. Patent Bar is required.
