A leading global financial markets technology business is seeking an experienced FX Client Support Specialist to join its Sydney team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced electronic trading environment, supporting institutional sell-side clients across mission-critical FX trading systems.

The business delivers advanced FX trading technology to financial institutions globally, connecting clients to deep liquidity pools and providing high-performance execution solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Sales, Account Management and Integration teams across the region as part of a 24/6 client support model.

  • Deploy, maintain and upgrade production trading systems (some weekend work required for scheduled releases).

  • Take ownership of the stability and performance of production environments.

  • Create and manage client-facing service notifications and updates.

  • Build, implement and optimise monitoring tools to proactively identify potential issues.

  • Support capacity planning across production environments.

  • Manage incidents end-to-end, including prioritisation, troubleshooting, resolution and client communication.

  • Perform system health checks to ensure uninterrupted service during trading hours.

  • Coordinate effective handovers with global support teams within a follow-the-sun model.

  • Contribute to ongoing service improvements and enhanced client experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in FX eTrading client support / application support.

  • Strong understanding of the FIX Protocol.

  • Experience working within Linux / Unix command line environments.

  • Exposure to scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.) highly regarded.

  • Strong client service mindset with excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

  • Proactive, self-motivated and solutions-focused approach.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience supporting business-critical systems and institutional clients.

  • Ability to quickly understand client workflows and recommend solutions.
