About the job FX Trading Application Support
A leading global financial markets technology business is seeking an experienced FX Client Support Specialist to join its Sydney team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced electronic trading environment, supporting institutional sell-side clients across mission-critical FX trading systems.
The business delivers advanced FX trading technology to financial institutions globally, connecting clients to deep liquidity pools and providing high-performance execution solutions.
Responsibilities

Work closely with Sales, Account Management and Integration teams across the region as part of a 24/6 client support model.

Deploy, maintain and upgrade production trading systems (some weekend work required for scheduled releases).

Take ownership of the stability and performance of production environments.

Create and manage client-facing service notifications and updates.

Build, implement and optimise monitoring tools to proactively identify potential issues.

Support capacity planning across production environments.

Manage incidents end-to-end, including prioritisation, troubleshooting, resolution and client communication.

Perform system health checks to ensure uninterrupted service during trading hours.

Coordinate effective handovers with global support teams within a follow-the-sun model.

Contribute to ongoing service improvements and enhanced client experience.
Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience in FX eTrading client support / application support.

Strong understanding of the FIX Protocol.

Experience working within Linux / Unix command line environments.

Exposure to scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.) highly regarded.

Strong client service mindset with excellent attention to detail.

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Proactive, self-motivated and solutions-focused approach.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Experience supporting business-critical systems and institutional clients.
