Senior Loan Originator - Private Credit

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced lending professional to take on a senior origination role focused on real estate-backed credit. The position is ideal for someone who thrives on developing trusted relationships, structuring complex funding solutions, and delivering tailored outcomes for investors and high-net-worth borrowers.

You will be responsible for sourcing, structuring, and executing high-quality lending opportunities within the residential property sector, maintaining strong credit discipline and a commercial mindset throughout the process.

Responsibilities

1. Source and originate new lending opportunities aligned with the firms strategic credit mandate
2. Cultivate and expand relationships with developers, brokers, valuers, and key market participants
3. Conduct borrower due diligence and initial credit assessment, including financial and project analysis
4. Prepare detailed credit papers and present recommendations for internal approval
5. Structure and negotiate loan terms in partnership with legal, valuation, and risk teams
6. Oversee transactions from origination through to settlement, ensuring a professional client experience
7. Support broader growth initiatives, including the evolution of lending products and market reach

Requirements

• 7-10+ years experience in real estate finance, private credit, or commercial lending with a focus on origination
• Proven track record of identifying, structuring, and closing successful transactions
• Established network across property development, brokerage, and private capital markets
• Strong analytical skills with sound understanding of credit risk, financial statements, and property valuation
• Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and communication capabilities
• Commercially minded, proactive, and able to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment
