Position: Medical Receptionist
Job Summary:
As a Medical Receptionist at Water Tower Group, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our healthcare team. Your main duties will include greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner
Schedule appointments and manage the physician's calendar
Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
Maintain patient records and update information as needed
Verify insurance coverage and collect co-payments
Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth patient flow
Follow all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Handle any other administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Proficient in using computer systems and electronic medical records
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
Must be able to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
