Job Description
We are seeking a reliable Driver Assistant to support delivery and logistics operations. The role involves assisting drivers with loading, unloading, route navigation, and driving tasks to ensure safe and timely deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with loading and unloading goods.
Support driver with route planning, navigation, and driving duties.
Inspect vehicles and report maintenance needs.
Handle delivery documentation and client interactions.
Ensure goods are delivered safely and on time.
Comply with South African transport and labor regulations.
Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications
High School: National Senior Certificate (Matric/Grade 12) with passes in English.
Tertiary (Advantageous):
NCV Level 4 in Transport and Logistics from an accredited TVET College.
OR National Diploma (N4-N6) in Logistics or Transport Operations from a TVET College.
OR Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management from a recognized university.
Experience and Skills
0-2 years in logistics, delivery, or driver assistant roles.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical ability to lift and move goods.
Additional Requirements
Mandatory: Valid South African drivers license (Code 8 or higher) with a clean driving record.
Ability to undergo vetting (citizenship, criminal, qualification checks).
