Job Description

We are seeking a reliable Driver Assistant to support delivery and logistics operations. The role involves assisting drivers with loading, unloading, route navigation, and driving tasks to ensure safe and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with loading and unloading goods.

  • Support driver with route planning, navigation, and driving duties.

  • Inspect vehicles and report maintenance needs.

  • Handle delivery documentation and client interactions.

  • Ensure goods are delivered safely and on time.

  • Comply with South African transport and labor regulations.

Minimum Requirements

Educational Qualifications

  • High School: National Senior Certificate (Matric/Grade 12) with passes in English.

  • Tertiary (Advantageous):

    • NCV Level 4 in Transport and Logistics from an accredited TVET College.

    • OR National Diploma (N4-N6) in Logistics or Transport Operations from a TVET College.

    • OR Diploma in Logistics or Supply Chain Management from a recognized university.

Experience and Skills

  • 0-2 years in logistics, delivery, or driver assistant roles.

  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Physical ability to lift and move goods.

Additional Requirements

  • Mandatory: Valid South African drivers license (Code 8 or higher) with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to undergo vetting (citizenship, criminal, qualification checks).
