Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics Administrator to coordinate daily logistical and supply chain operations. The successful candidate will ensure efficient inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution while meeting customer delivery requirements. This role involves reviewing shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, and other records to determine priorities and optimal shipping methods.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
Manage inventory control, including stock monitoring and replenishment.
Process orders, prepare shipping documents, and track shipments.
Liaise with suppliers, transport companies, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
Analyze logistics data to optimize processes and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with company policies and South African transport and labor regulations.
Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications
South African High School Qualification: National Senior Certificate (Matric/Grade 12) with passes in Mathematics and English.
Tertiary Qualification (Advantageous):
National Certificate Vocational (NCV) Level 4 in Transport and Logistics or Office Administration from an accredited TVET College.
OR National Diploma (N4-N6) in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration from a TVET College.
OR Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Materials, or Supply Chain Management from a recognized university.
Experience and Skills
0-2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or administrative roles (experience in the TVET sector is an advantage).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and logistics software (e.g., SAP or Pastel is advantageous).
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of South African tax laws and compliance (e.g., PAYE, UIF, SDL) is a plus.
Additional Requirements
Valid South African drivers license (Code 8) is an advantage.
Registered with the South African Council for Educators (SACE) or similar body is a plus.
Ability to undergo vetting processes (citizenship, criminal checks, qualification verification).
