Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & HR Clerk to manage payroll processes and support HR functions. The role involves processing employee payments, maintaining HR records, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process monthly payroll, including salaries, deductions, and benefits.

  • Maintain employee records and HR databases.

  • Administer statutory submissions (UIF, PAYE, SDL).

  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and employee queries.

  • Prepare HR reports and payroll reconciliations.

  • Ensure compliance with South African labor and tax laws.

Minimum Requirements

Educational Qualifications

  • High School: National Senior Certificate (Matric/Grade 12) with passes in Mathematics and English.

  • Tertiary (Advantageous):

    • NCV Level 4 in Office Administration or Financial Management from an accredited TVET College.

    • OR National Diploma (N4-N6) in Human Resource Management or Payroll Administration from a TVET College.

    • OR Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management, Payroll Administration, or Business Administration from a recognized university.

Experience and Skills

  • 0-2 years in payroll or HR administration.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and payroll software (e.g., Sage, PaySpace is advantageous).

  • Strong organizational and numerical skills.

  • Knowledge of South African labor laws and payroll compliance.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to undergo vetting (citizenship, criminal, qualification checks).

Package and Benefits

In compliance with South African labor laws:

  • Basic Salary: R204,000 per annum, subject to performance review.
