Windhoek Consulting Engineers (WCE) is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Windhoek office. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to drive the design and implementation of mechanical engineering projects across the building services, infrastructure, mining, and energy sectors in Namibia.

The successful candidate will lead project teams, manage multidisciplinary coordination, and deliver innovative, sustainable mechanical solutions aligned with technical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering design from concept to execution.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications, drawings, and tender documentation.
• Perform calculations, simulations, and assessments to validate system performance.
• Conduct site inspections, cost estimation, and system commissioning.
• Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and client communication.
• Guide mechanical installations for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and infrastructure systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and support cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Integrate energy-efficient and renewable system designs where applicable.

What Were Looking For:
Qualifications:

• BEng or BTech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years consulting engineering experience.
• Registered as a Professional or Incorporated Engineer with ECN or ECSA.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Sound knowledge of Namibian and regional engineering codes and standards.
• Valid SADC drivers licence.

Skills & Attributes:

• Proven leadership in project and team management.
• Expertise in HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and refrigeration systems.
• Experience in infrastructure, mining, oil & gas, and energy projects.
• Strong communication, report writing, and client engagement skills.
• Familiarity with sustainable and renewable design practices.
• Detail-oriented with a high standard of technical accuracy.
