Vacancy: Senior Electrical/Electronics Engineer

Windhoek Consulting Engineers (WCE) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical/Electronics Engineer to lead the design and implementation of multidisciplinary electrical projects across Namibia. This role will contribute to a broad range of sectors, including infrastructure development, building services, and oil & gas.

The ideal candidate is a professionally registered engineer with strong leadership ability, technical acumen, and a passion for innovation and sustainable engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical systems, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration
  Manage system testing, compliance, and quality assurance processes.
• Coordinate and supervise multidisciplinary engineering teams and support staff.
• Plan and implement building services and electrical infrastructure for large-scale projects.
• Design and integrate specialist electronic systems (security, access control, fire detection, communications).
• Oversee departmental operations and support business development initiatives.
• Contribute to renewable energy and oil & gas sector projects.

What Were Looking For:
Qualifications:

• BSc (Hons), BEng, or BTech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

• Minimum 10 years consulting engineering experience

• At least 2 years in a leadership or management role

• Registered with ECN or ECSA as a Professional or Incorporated Engineer

• Valid drivers licence

Skills & Attributes:

• Experience with international and large-scale project delivery

• Knowledge of data centre design, renewable energy systems, and oil & gas projects

• Strong understanding of Fidic, JBCC, and GCC contract frameworks

• Excellent communication, report writing, and leadership capabilities

• Proficient in industry-standard engineering and project software

• Strategic thinker with an innovative mindset
