Job Summary
As an IT Product Owner, you'll hold a pivotal role in our exciting IT transformation journey. Collaborating closely with our business partners, you will drive the prioritization of enhancements, projects, and bug fixes. Your core responsibilities encompass:
- Crafting and refining user stories in close collaboration with an Agile Scrum Team, ensuring the delivery of functional software every 2 weeks.
- Strategizing for both long-term product development and immediate value delivery.
- Delving deep into business requirements and proposing alternative solutions for thoughtful consideration.
- Collaborating with the Scrum Master to identify and resolve sprint impediments.
- Skillfully managing stakeholder expectations and delivering effective project status updates.
- Continually optimizing our work processes through proactive, innovative solutions.
Job Responsibilities
1. Analysis and Solution Definition
- Attain subject matter expertise in select IT Products offered by the department.
- Act as the primary point of contact in Thailand for significant product requests, actively contributing to decision-making.
- Ensure the development team prioritizes high-value tasks and adheres to delivery timelines.
- Take ownership of the IT Products roadmap, steering its development and upkeep.
- Meticulously prepare and refine user stories and acceptance criteria, aligning them with business requirements.
- Foster cross-country collaboration to enhance IT processes within our Asia business.
2. Quality Assurance and Testing
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure that solution designs meet user story requirements.
- Rigorously validate that acceptance criteria and testing conditions are met before closing stories.
- Ensure comprehensive testing plans are documented and executed before software releases.
- Promote the integration of automated testing into our solutions.
- Identify and document system deficiencies, presenting recommended solutions.
3. Project Support & Change Management
- Follow up diligently with relevant parties to ensure work adheres to agreed-upon schedules.
- Monitor deliverables and proactively address issues that impact delivery timelines.
- Champion Agile practices within development teams.
- Maintain transparent communication when implementing system changes, keeping stakeholders informed.
4. Other Duties as Assigned
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or Application Support.
- Strong business analysis skills.
- Ability to hands-on manage and triage multiple parallel priorities.
- Ability to effectively and proactively interact and communicate with senior management, internal departments, clients, and vendors.
- Fast learner with good negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong verbal and written (Thai and English) communication skills.
- General insurance industry background and knowledge is preferable but not required.
