Job Openings PROJECT MANAGER - CLEANTECH / MARINETECH (HYBRID)

About the job PROJECT MANAGER - CLEANTECH / MARINETECH (HYBRID)

A Project Manager is needed to join GT Wings, an ambitious engineering-led CleanTech / MarineTech company developing wind propulsion systems (AirWing) to help commercial shipping cut fuel use, lower emissions and meet global sustainability targets.

GT Wings is in an exciting phase of growth. With our first full-scale AirWing installation completed and more projects in the pipeline, the business is scaling fast, moving from R&D and prototyping into commercial delivery. What sets GT Wings apart is its engineering-led, mission-driven culture: collaborative, agile, and united by a shared goal to decarbonise global shipping.

This new role offers a Project Manager the chance to take ownership of complex, high-impact projects from contract award through to installation and in-service support. You'll lead planning, execution, supplier coordination and reporting, ensuring each project is delivered safely, on time and within budget. Working closely with the Head of Operations, you'll also contribute to developing GT Wings operational systems, supplier network and delivery processes as we expand globally.

The position is varied and hands-on, suited to someone comfortable working across project management, procurement and quality, someone who thrives in a fast-paced scale-up where no two days are the same.

Key requirements: You should be a capable and motivated Project Manager / PM or similar with a CV that demonstrates...

  • 3+ years experience managing projects within marine, shipping, manufacturing or related technical industries
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Understanding of procurement and supply chain processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar planning tools
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers, clients and internal stakeholders
  • A proactive mindset, detail focus and enthusiasm for innovation and sustainability

A degree (or equivalent) in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous as is any familiarity with quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001) or previous exposure to start-up or growth-stage environments.

In return, you'll be part of a high-performing, values-led team making a tangible impact in the clean maritime sector. Expect a competitive salary (£35 - £60k depending on experience), flexible working options, and genuine opportunities for progression into senior project, programme or operations roles as the company scales.

If you're ready to take the lead on delivering cutting-edge clean technology projects and want to grow your career within a company shaping the future of sustainable shipping, we would love to hear from you.
