About the job FINANCIAL MODELLING ANALYST – BIOENERGY & INFRASTRUCTURE (HYBRID)
A Financial Modelling Analyst is needed to join EAG Bioenergy, a fast growing renewable energy platform acquiring, developing and operating anaerobic digestion and biomethane assets across the UK and Ireland.
Backed by a €700m infrastructure fund, EAG Bioenergy is actively acquiring sites, scaling operations, and building a long-term platform in renewable gas and energy. The ambition is real, the deal flow is live, and this role sits right at the centre of it.
This is a high impact opportunity for a commercially minded modeller who wants to move beyond theory and into live investment decision making. Working directly with the CEO and CFO, you will help shape capital allocation across acquisitions, greenfield developments and the existing asset portfolio.
You will become the internal owner of EAG's financial modelling framework. That means building fully integrated models from first principles, refining core templates and ensuring every opportunity is assessed with clarity and rigour. You will translate technical, operational and commercial inputs into structured financial projections, run sensitivities across key drivers such as feedstock pricing, plant performance, subsidy regimes and financing structures, and produce clear outputs for investment committee and board discussions.
This is not a passive modelling role. You will support live transactions, contribute to due diligence and valuation analysis, work alongside external advisers and lenders, and play a visible role in project finance processes. Alongside new investments, you will maintain portfolio level models, track performance and support the CFO with capital planning and strategic analysis as the platform expands.
To qualify: You should be a Financial Modelling Analyst, Investment Analyst, Financial Modeller or similar with a CV that demonstrates
- 3 to 6 years' experience building robust financial models
- Strong Excel based modelling capability, including fully integrated three statement models
- Experience constructing models from first principles
- A clear understanding of project finance structures, NPV, IRR and valuation techniques
- The ability to convert operational and commercial inputs into structured financial outputs
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Exposure to renewable energy, infrastructure or project finance transactions is advantageous, as is experience supporting debt financing processes, but strong modelling fundamentals are essential.
This opportunity will appeal to someone currently working in infrastructure or energy advisory, project finance modelling, Big 4 transactions or within an infrastructure investor or corporate development team, who wants closer exposure to real assets and decision makers.
In return, you will join a well capitalised, ambitious renewable energy platform with direct exposure to senior leadership and live deal activity. Expect a competitive salary of £50,000 to £65,000 depending on experience, bonus, benefits and the opportunity to become the core modelling lead within a growing infrastructure business shaping the future of renewable gas.
