Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics & Truck Driver Recruiter to join our team as a 1099 contractor. In this role, you’ll be responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified truck drivers to meet our clients' logistics and transportation needs. Your efforts will directly impact the success of our clients’ operations and driver retention strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Sourcing:
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract qualified truck drivers.
- Leverage job boards, social media, industry events, and networking channels.
- Build relationships with driving schools, associations, and other relevant entities.
Screening & Interviewing:
- Review resumes and conduct interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications.
- Verify CDL licenses, endorsements, and ensure DOT compliance.
Compliance & Safety:
- Partner with the Safety Department to process background checks, MVRs, PSP reports, and drug screenings.
- Confirm all candidates meet DOT and company hiring standards.
Onboarding & Training:
- Coordinate with operations to onboard drivers effectively.
- Ensure driver understanding of company protocols, safety standards, and training updates.
Retention & Relationship Management:
- Maintain ongoing communication with drivers throughout the hiring and onboarding process.
- Assist with implementing retention strategies to support long-term engagement.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related field preferred.
Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience in driver recruitment or similar role.
- Background in transportation or logistics is strongly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and industry standards.
