Position Summary
Wecare Medical Specialty Group is seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Caregivers to provide direct, non-medical support and personal care to our patients. The Caregiver will play a vital role in assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensuring their safety and comfort, and providing crucial companionship. This position requires a caring nature, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as part of a collaborative clinical team. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping others and committed to providing care with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities
Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Assistance:
Provide assistance with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Assist patients with mobility, including transferring from bed to chair, walking, and using mobility aids.
Help with meal preparation, feeding, and monitoring of fluid intake.
Patient Safety & Monitoring:
Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for the patient.
Observe patients for any changes in physical or mental condition and promptly report any concerns to the nursing staff.
Follow all health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures.
Companionship & Support:
Engage patients in conversation and activities to provide social and emotional support.
Accompany patients to appointments and activities within the facility as needed.
Provide respite for family members.
Documentation & Communication:
Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided, observations, and any incidents.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the clinical care team to ensure coordinated care.
Respect and maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA) at all times.
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Licensure/Certification:
Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in the state of Massachusetts is strongly preferred.
Current CPR and Basic First Aid certification is required.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a direct caregiving role, preferably in a clinical, assisted living, or home health setting.
Experience working with elderly or disabled populations is highly desirable.

Work Authorization Requirements
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
U.S. Citizenship, a valid U.S. Permanent Resident Card (Green Card), or a valid Employment Authorization Document (EAD) is required for this position.

Work Environment
This is a full-time or part-time, on-site position located at our facility in Newton, Massachusetts.
The role involves direct patient contact and requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on the needs of the facility and our patients.
