As we continue to grow, we are seeking a results-driven Portfolio Manager to join our remote team and help us manage, optimize, and align our portfolio of healthcare initiatives, service lines, and strategic investments.

Position Summary

The Portfolio Manager will oversee the performance, risk, and alignment of the organizations portfolio of programs, projects, and service lines. This role requires a strategic thinker who can coordinate across departments, ensure alignment with organizational goals, and deliver measurable outcomes. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare operations, project/program management, and portfolio governance.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Strategy & Governance

Develop and maintain portfolio management frameworks, tools, and processes.

Align portfolio investments with organizational strategy, goals, and risk appetite.

Establish and lead portfolio governance meetings and reporting structures.

Performance Monitoring

Track performance metrics (financial, operational, clinical) across all programs and projects.

Ensure that initiatives deliver expected value and ROI.

Recommend adjustments or reallocation of resources based on performance insights.

Risk & Issue Management

Identify, evaluate, and monitor portfolio-level risks and dependencies.

Implement mitigation strategies and escalate issues when necessary.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Collaborate with department heads, project managers, clinical teams, and finance.

Serve as a liaison between executive leadership and project delivery teams.

Reporting & Communication

Provide regular updates and presentations to senior leadership on portfolio status.

Develop dashboards, executive summaries, and ad hoc reports as needed.

Continuous Improvement

Recommend process improvements for more effective project delivery and resource utilization.

Support implementation of new tools, systems, or methodologies that enhance portfolio performance.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in portfolio, program, or project management, preferably in the healthcare sector.

Strong understanding of healthcare operations and strategic planning.

Experience with portfolio management tools and methodologies (e.g., PMO practices, Agile, Lean, PPM software).

Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and ROI analysis.

Authorized to work in the United States (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident).

Preferred:

Masters degree (e.g., MBA, MHA).

Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PfMP, or Lean Six Sigma.

Experience with EMR/EHR systems and healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).

Familiarity with medical specialty group practices or multisite healthcare organizations.
