Position Overview:
As a Remote Product Designer at WeCare Medical Specialty Group, you will be instrumental in defining and designing user-centered digital experiences across our web and mobile platforms. You will work collaboratively with product managers, engineers, researchers, and stakeholders to translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive, engaging, and effective design solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of user-centered design principles, excellent visual design skills, and the ability to thrive in a remote, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
User Research & Analysis: Plan, conduct, and analyze user research activities, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and competitive analysis, to gain deep insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points.
Information Architecture & User Flows: Develop clear and logical information architecture, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts and interactions.
Interaction Design: Design intuitive and seamless user interactions for web and mobile applications, ensuring a consistent and delightful user experience.
Visual Design: Create high-fidelity mockups and visual specifications that adhere to brand guidelines and best practices in visual design, typography, and color theory.
Prototyping & Iteration: Build interactive prototypes using industry-standard tools to test and validate design solutions with users and stakeholders, iterating based on feedback.
Collaboration & Communication: Effectively communicate design rationale and present design solutions to cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Actively participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Design Systems & Guidelines: Contribute to the development and maintenance of our design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across all digital products.
Accessibility & Inclusivity: Design with accessibility (WCAG guidelines) and inclusivity in mind, ensuring our products are usable by individuals with diverse abilities.
Performance & Optimization: Consider performance and technical feasibility in design solutions and collaborate with engineering to ensure successful implementation.
Staying Current: Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies within the healthcare and digital product landscape.
Qualifications:
Proven Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Product Designer, UX Designer, or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions for web and/or mobile applications.
Design Proficiency: Expertise in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, or similar.
User-Centered Approach: Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Research Skills: Experience planning and conducting various user research methods and translating findings into actionable design insights.
Visual Design Skills: Strong visual design aesthetic, with a keen eye for detail, typography, color, and layout.
Interaction Design Expertise: Ability to design intuitive and engaging interactions for complex user flows.
Prototyping Skills: Proficiency in creating interactive prototypes to effectively communicate and test design concepts.
Collaboration & Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach design challenges creatively and strategically.
Adaptability & Initiative: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and take initiative.
Healthcare Experience (Preferred): Experience designing for healthcare applications or a strong understanding of the healthcare industry is a plus.
Accessibility Knowledge: Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
