Medical Assistant (MA) – Outpatient Clinic | El Monte, CA

We are partnering with a well-established outpatient multispecialty medical clinic in El Monte, California to find a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) to join their clinical team. This is a part-time opportunity for a certified MA who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Position Details

• Setting: Outpatient Multispecialty Medical Clinic
• Schedule: Weekdays (open to weekends) | Regular and Evening shifts
• Location: El Monte, CA
• Pay: $47000 - $52000/yr
• Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with providers to deliver quality patient care
• Perform diagnostic tests, administer medications, collect/prepare specimens within scope of practice; practice infection control techniques
• Prepare patients for exams — escort to exam rooms, measure vital signs, document in EMR
• Assist providers in exam rooms and instruct patients as directed
• Answer telephone inquiries and triage messages from patients to physicians
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and appropriately set up before each patient
• Perform opening and closing duties; upkeep compliance logs
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments through EMR
• Obtain insurance approvals; prepare and update medical charts and patient records
• Verify patient billing information and maintain records
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience — required
• CMA certification or Medical Assistant diploma — required
• Active CPT1 certification — required
• Professional, friendly attitude with patients, physicians, and staff
• Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations calmly
• Must be able to work in El Monte, CA
• Bilingual English/Spanish — highly preferred
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR software
