RN - Registered Nurse [ICU] - FullTime Day Shift

Registered Nurse (ICU) Full Time | Porterville, CA

Pay Range: $46.47 $65.05 per hour
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts | 6:45 AM 7:15 PM
Location: On-site, Porterville, CA
Sign-on Bonus: Up to $20,000 (based on experience)

About the Role

WellTech Partners is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team on behalf of one of our respected healthcare partners in Porterville, California.

This position plays a vital role in delivering exceptional critical care to patients of all ages while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compassion, and clinical excellence. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled ICU nurse with strong critical thinking abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessment, treatment, and monitoring for critically ill patients under physician and multidisciplinary team direction.

• Develop and implement individualized care plans, evaluating progress and modifying interventions as needed.

• Administer medications and therapies safely in accordance with hospital and state nursing standards.

• Respond swiftly to changes in patient condition, performing emergency procedures when necessary.

• Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and families to ensure clear understanding of care plans and progress.

• Uphold infection prevention protocols, safety procedures, and accurate clinical documentation at all times.

• Participate in patient care conferences and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure continuity of care.

• Demonstrate leadership and mentorship to new staff, maintaining a positive and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required)

• BLS and ACLS certifications (required; ACLS may be obtained within 6 months of hire)

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience preferred; 3+ years strongly desired

• Strong understanding of ICU equipment, medications, and emergency response protocols

• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer systems

Education & Experience

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (ADN or BSN required)

• Experience in adult, geriatric, and/or multi-system critical care preferred

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment

Shift & Work Environment

• Full-time, 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM 7:15 PM)

• Rotating weekends and holidays as required

• Must be available for occasional on-call or emergency response coverage as part of hospital protocol
