RN Med/Surg

Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg | Full Time 

Pay Range: $46.47 – $65.05 per hour
Shift: 12-hour Shifts
Shift: (6:45am – 7:15pm) or ( 6:45pm - 7:15am)
Bonuses:

• Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus (3+ years Acute Care RN experience)
• $5,000 Sign-On Bonus (1–3 years experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit. In this role, you will deliver holistic, patient-centered care using the Nursing Process while demonstrating strong clinical judgment, leadership, and a commitment to excellence.

You will play a key role in improving patient outcomes while working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Patient Population

You will provide care to a diverse patient population, including:

• Newborns and pediatric patients
• Adolescents and adults
• Geriatric patients
• Patients, staff, physicians, and the broader community

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards
• Monitor, evaluate, and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide patient and family education, including discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols and patient safety standards (Joint Commission/NPSGs)
• Identify and report quality or risk management concerns appropriately
• Participate in emergency response and disaster support, as required

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Acute Care preferred
• Demonstrated competency in Med/Surg or similar clinical setting

Licensure & Certifications:

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required prior to patient care or within orientation period)

Skills & Competencies

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in patient care planning and documentation
• Knowledge of infection control, medication safety, and nursing best practices
• Basic computer and EMR proficiency
