Role Overview

We're looking for a Multilingual Safety Content Contributor to help create high-quality, culturally relevant safety content tailored for the Singapore market. In this role, you will generate text prompts, source open-domain images, and write concise explanations that highlight culturally specific safety risks. Your work will directly support the development of safer AI systems.

Project Details

  • Contract Duration: Start Dec 1 (or upon hiring) through January 23

  • Work Type: Freelance, remote within Singapore only (applications outside Singapore cannot be considered)

  • Weekly Hours: 20-40 hours

  • Daily/Weekly Schedule:

    • Option A: 4 hours/day, Monday - Friday

    • Option B: 2 hours/day, Monday - Friday + 10 hours on weekends

  • Attendance: Consistent, reliable weekly availability is required

  • Rate: $25 USD per hour

What You'll Do

  • Generate Prompts: Write creative, meaningful, culturally relevant 12-sentence prompts that reflect authentic safety concerns.

  • Source Images: Find open-domain images that appropriately match prompts and clearly illustrate the safety issue.

  • Explain Cultural Context: Provide short, clear descriptions of why the prompt + image combination represents a safety risk in the Singaporean context.

  • Translate/Adapt Content: Translate English prompts into Singaporean Malay, Tamil, or Hindi, ensuring cultural alignment.

  • Quality Control: Review all content for accuracy, cultural relevance, and adherence to project safety guidelines.

What Were Looking For

Must-Have Skills

  • Cultural Insight: Deep understanding of social norms, cultural nuances, and real-world safety concerns in Singapore (and/or India).

  • Creativity & Research Skills:

    • Ability to craft novel, non-obvious prompts that effectively challenge AI safety models.

    • Strong search skills for quickly identifying relevant open-domain images.

  • Writing Excellence:

    • Strong command of English and Singaporean Malay (or Tamil/Hindi), at native or C1/C2 proficiency.

    • Ability to write clearly, concisely, and impactfully.

  • Tool Familiarity: Comfortable working in Google Sheets, Google Drive, and similar tools.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in content creation, data annotation, prompt engineering, or safety analysis.
