Project

We are looking for a Developer to join one of our agile Scrum teams!

 You will be part of the client unit, taking care of our microservice architecture, our API products and the web portals for international parcel logistics around the world. They create modern "API first" and "Cloud first" logistics solutions for their internal organization, partners, and customers.

Role

    • You will implement and extend scalable, highly-available and resilient microservices and if you like their associated web applications as well
    • You will translate product ideas from our business departments into deployable code based on modern standards and technology
    • You will integrate internal and external applications via synchronous and asynchronous interfaces like REST, gRPC and Kafka.
    • You will take care of persisting your application data, e.g. using a Managed Database Service
    • You will work with well-known Cloud Services from Amazon, Google, and Microsoft
    • You will be able to put your ideas into action for further improving our development processes.
    • You will be part of an international, agile team in a stable economic environment, working mostly from remote with your colleagues from Germany

    We are looking for

    • Degree in Computer Science, Informatics or equivalent training
    • Several years' experience in software development
    • Proficiency in Java 17+ and relevant frameworks (Spring Boot, Quarkus, Micronaut)
    • Experience in designing REST APIs
    • Experience in horizontally scalable microservice architectures
    • Multithreaded application development and concurrency management
    • Knowledge of high-performance systems and tuning the JVM for low latency and high throughput
    • Practical experience with Apache Kafka for stream processing
    • MongoDB proficiency and efficient NoSQL schema design
    • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
    • Experience with hyper-scalers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
    • Used to agile, remote and CI/CD environments
    • Open-minded and willing to learn/adapt to new technologies and languages (e.g. Node.js, React, Angular)
    • Fluent English, with the ability to understand and present complex ideas
