Project

We are looking for a skilled Architect for Intelligent Systems to lead the technical strategy, design, and implementation of solutions for our enterprise customers who enable, operate or make use of the Internet of Things (IoT).

This individual will be a technical lead and reference for both internal teams and customers, driving data enablement and AI-driven automation across our solutions for IoT.

Role

• Define and evolve modular, scalable, and future-proof architectures for IoT-related solutions. Enable hyperautomation across IoT ecosystems by integrating data, AI, and workflow orchestration into intelligent, event-driven architectures.
• Select and map the appropriate technology components for architecture and solution requirements. Continuously evaluate and test new technologies, platforms, products, and cloud services when needed.
• Act as a technical lead and key reference for customers. Define integration architecture with external systems, identifying technical dependencies, risks, and solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement in architecture strategies and technology for IoT solutions.
• Collaborate with business teams to align technical capabilities with monetization strategies.

We are looking for

• +8 years' experience in software engineering and architecture, with a strong focus on systems integration, data platforms and event-driven solutions.
• Practical experience in programming, code review, debugging distributed systems and mentoring technical teams.
• Mastery of cloud-native and distributed architectures, with skills in AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Solid knowledge of data and streaming platforms: Data Lakes, SQL/NoSQL databases, time-series and graphs; tools such as NiFi, Airflow, Pentaho, Kafka, RabbitMQ, HiveMQ, Flink and Spark Streaming.
• Experience in data modeling (graphs, time series, relational, hierarchical) and visualization through interactive dashboards, reports and maps.
• Ability to design hyperautomation systems with AI/ML integration and orchestration engines (e.g. Airflow, Camunda)
• Solid knowledge of security and compliance: encryption (at rest/in transit), IAM, Zero Trust, API security, GDPR and ISO 27001.
• Experience in scalable edge-to-cloud architectures and optimizing data flow between devices and the cloud.
• Knowledge of IoT data standards and protocols: MQTT, OPC-UA, SNMP, Modbus, Profinet, as well as serialization formats such as Protobuf and Avro.
• Competence in observability and telemetry with tools such as Prometheus and OpenTelemetry.
• Experience in secure onboarding and remote management of IoT devices with multi-vendor interoperability.
• Development of API-first architectures based on event-driven microservices; integration with gateways (Kong, Apigee, AWS API Gateway) and enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, SCM).
• Ability to balance performance, scalability and costs in cloud, edge and hybrid environments.
• Strong orientation towards solution operability and end-user adoption.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, mentoring and delivery of solutions in agile environments with enterprise customers.
