DBA Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Database Administrator (DBA) to join our growing IT department in the banking sector. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our database systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain SQL Server environments to ensure high availability and performance.
• Design, implement, and optimize synchronization mechanisms across different systems and platforms.
• Monitor and improve database performance through tuning and indexing strategies.
• Collaborate with BI teams to support reporting tools such as MicroStrategy and Power BI.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external data protection regulations.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues, provide timely solutions, and implement preventative maintenance.
• Assist in capacity planning and contribute to long-term data strategy within the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator in complex environments, preferably within the banking or financial sector.
• Strong hands-on expertise in SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization).
• Experience with MicroStrategy and Power BI platforms for business intelligence and reporting.
• Knowledge of data synchronization methods, backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Good understanding of data governance, security policies, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
