About the Program
Wezesha Binti is a five-year initiative jointly implemented by Westerwelle Foundation Tanzania and Enabel, the Belgian development agency. The program empowers girls and young women (ages 17 - 29) in Kigoma Region, including Kasulu, Kibondo, and Buhigw,e with digital, circular economy, and entrepreneurship skills. Through blended learning, mentorship, and institutional partnerships, Wezesha Binti promotes decent and greener employment opportunities for young women.
Role Overview
The Training Assistant will support participants, trainers, and the program team in accessing and using the digital learning platform. The Assistant will ensure that trainees can smoothly navigate online modules, troubleshoot technical issues, and receive timely support during the learning process. They will also assist in training, delivery logistics, documentation, and participant engagement.
This role is ideal for a digitally fluent, detail-oriented individual who enjoys supporting others and is passionate about youth empowerment and technology-enabled learning.
Key Responsibilities
Training Assistance
- Support the preparation of training materials and devices for blended learning sessions.
- Help set up venues and technology before training sessions.
- Coordinate with participants to ensure timely attendance and participation.
Platform Support & Digital Access
- Guide participants through onboarding onto the digital learning platform.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support for participants facing challenges accessing content or using platform tools.
- Track platform usage, logins, and completion rates, and report trends to the Training Coordinator and M&E team.
- Support in testing new platform features and content uploads.
Participant Engagement
- Maintain open communication channels with participants via SMS, WhatsApp, or in-person check-ins.
- Encourage consistent learning progress by sending reminders and motivation messages.
- Capture participant feedback related to the digital learning experience.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Maintain basic data logs of platform access and training attendance.
- Share weekly updates with the Training Coordinator, highlighting usage issues, common questions, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in ICT, Education, Community Development, or related field.
- Familiarity with digital tools (mobile apps, websites, learning platforms).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in Swahili; basic working English.
- Experience working with youth or women in community programs is an added advantage.
- Based in the Kigoma region.
Consultancy Terms
- Approximately 15 days/month.
- Paid monthly based on deliverables and agreed work schedule.
- Reports directly to the Training Coordinator.
- Must be based Kigoma region.
