Assistant Maintenance Engineer (West)

 Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Inspect facilities, electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures and other components to ensure they remain functional and compliant with standards.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, equipment and production machines.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support autonomous and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Maintain inventory records for maintenance tools, equipment, consumables and spare parts.
  • Prepare and maintain maintenance procedures and work instructions.
  • Monitor equipment performance using analytical tools and software and assist in preparing maintenance reports.
  • Support initiatives such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), First Pass Yield (FPY) and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on equipment calibration and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and support digitalization and Smart Factory initiatives.
  • Support, coach and provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians and production operators.
  • Support Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and shopfloor systems.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Automation or related discipline
  • 2 - 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Good knowledge of electrical systems, industrial equipment and maintenance practices
  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams
  • Hands-on experience with maintenance tools, instruments, and industrial equipment
  • Knowledge of PLC programming, automation systems and troubleshooting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Committed to complyING with all safety standards and regulations at all times
  • Team player with the ability to work well with operators, technicians, engineers and cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals
