PHP Developer, hybrid in Prague

We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer to contribute to the design, development, and long-term evolution of backend systems and software products. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on development skills with an architectural mindset, capable of shaping scalable, maintainable solutions.

Prague based, hybrid (at least 3 times per week during the project initial stage)

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain PHP-based backend applications.
• Contribute to system architecture, including application structure, data models, and integration patterns.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate with external services.
• Make technical decisions that ensure scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Review code and provide architectural and technical guidance to other developers.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, frontend developers, and DevOps teams.
• Participate in technical discussions, estimations, and solution design.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in PHP (7/8).
• Hands-on experience with modern frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel.
• Solid understanding of OOP principles, MVC, and design patterns.
• Experience designing and working with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience contributing to or defining application architecture in medium to large-scale systems.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
