Delivery Lead (Banking)

The role involves leading the delivery management of projects within a managed portfolio, ensuring they are completed on-time, on-budget, and on-scope. The project manager will collaborate with business units and stakeholders to define project goals and deliverables, while also coaching and mentoring team members to foster accountability and positive action. This position plays a critical role in aligning project execution with business strategy and enterprise architecture.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Lead overall delivery management of projects within the managed portfolio.
2. Define and finalize project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
3. Create and manage detailed timelines for project execution.
4. Optimize resource utilization to deliver project activities within timeframes and quality standards.
5. Coach, mentor, and supervise project team members.
6. Update project team on project status regularly.
7. Clear blockers for subject matter experts to ensure delivery.
8. Facilitate learning through post mortem and sprint retrospective.
9. Review technical designs with the technical delivery team.
10. Identify, monitor, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
11. Monitor and manage project expenses to stay within budget.
12. Establish governance functions for the program in accordance with enterprise policies.
13. Proactively manage changes in project scope and devise contingency plans.

Required Qualifications

1. 6+ years extensive experience in project management.
2. 6+ years extensive experience in IT.
3. Strong knowledge of software development life cycle.
4. Excellent decision-making and communication skills.
5. Experience working with cross-functional teams.
6. Proven leadership abilities.
7. Certifications such as PMP, PSM, CSM, etc.
8. Experience in the banking industry is a plus.
