About the job IT Project Manager
We are looking for a Project Manager who will play a critical role in delivering complex,
cross-functional initiatives through structured planning, agile execution, and effective
stakeholder engagement. The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end
oversight of project delivery across the organization ensuring timelines, scope, and
quality targets are consistently met while aligning with organizational strategy,
regulatory standards, and technology governance frameworks.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Delivery Oversight
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and dependencies. Drive the development and execution of integrated project plans, including resource forecasting and milestone tracking.
2. Team Leadership and Coordination
Lead cross-functional squads and delivery teams, ensuring consistent execution across workstreams. Promote accountability, resolve blockers, and cultivate a culture of ownership and collaboration.
3. Agile Governance and Sprint Management
Implement agile best practices (e.g., sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, retrospectives). Coordinate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Business Analysts to manage iterative delivery and incorporate continuous feedback.
4. Steering Committee Management
Coordinate with the Project Steering Committee by preparing key project updates, decision points, and risk escalations. Schedule and facilitate committee meetings, ensure alignment with strategic priorities, and document decisions and next steps.
Serve as the main liaison between project teams and executive stakeholders.
5. Stakeholder and Communication Management
Act as the central point of contact for project stakeholders including C-level sponsors, regulatory liaisons, vendors, and internal teams. Drive transparency through consistent reporting, status updates, and alignment meetings.
6. Risk and Issue Management
Identify, evaluate, and manage project risks, dependencies, and issues. Develop mitigation strategies, escalation paths, and recovery plans to safeguard delivery timelines and objectives.
7. Resource and Capacity Management
Coordinate with functional leads to ensure adequate resource availability and alignment. Proactively resolve resource gaps and support workforce planning.
8. Quality and Regulatory Compliance
Enforce quality assurance frameworks and ensure deliverables comply with business requirements, audit standards, and regulatory expectations (e.g., BSP guidelines, ITGC, InfoSec policies).
9. Change Control and Impact Analysis
Evaluate and manage change requests to scope, budget, or timelines. Facilitate impact assessments and ensure traceability across requirements, risks, and testing outcomes.
10.Performance Monitoring and KPI Tracking
Track and report on project health indicators including budget burn, velocity, risk heat maps, and earned value metrics. Drive data-informed decisions to maintain performance and value realization.
11.Documentation and Project Artifacts Management
Ensure proper documentation of project charters, status reports, risk registers, decision logs, and closure reports. Maintain project artifacts in designated repositories (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint).
12.Post-Implementation Review and Continuous Improvement
Conduct project closure activities, including lessons learned, performance retrospectives, and feedback loops. Champion process optimization and maturity through standardized templates, tooling, and workflows.
13.Portfolio Alignment and Strategic Reporting
Align projects with organizational priorities and strategic roadmaps. Contribute to portfolio-level reporting and governance board presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology,Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7-10 years of experience in project management, demand management, project management, portfolio management, or a related field.
- Experience in banking, fintech, or financial services is preferred.
- Strong background in stakeholder management, governance, and process optimization.
- Candidates should have at least one of the following certifications: Project Management Certifications, PMP (Project Management Professional) PMI, PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environments) Axelos, CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) PMI
- Expertise in demand forecasting, prioritization frameworks, and governance models.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills for evaluating business needs.Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
