The System and Network Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organizations IT infrastructure, ensuring network reliability, security, and efficiency. This role involves configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing network components to support seamless business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Manage system and network security, ensuring compliance with best practices and industry standards.
- Implement and maintain VLAN configurations, network segmentation, and traffic prioritization.
- Optimize VoIP, QoS, and Wi-Fi networks for improved performance and stability.
- Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors, particularly in telecommunications, to enhance network performance.
- Ensure business continuity by implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in system and network administration.
- Preferably from a telecommunications background or with extensive experience in network configuration.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networking equipment, network protocols, and security practices.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
