Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and communicate a clear product vision aligned with the banks digital strategy and customer needs.
- Maintain a product roadmap and strategy to drive digital innovation and business growth.
Product Management
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of the mobile banking product from ideation to delivery and ongoing optimization.
- Manage business requirements and define clear product goals and KPIs.
Backlog Management & Prioritization
- Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog.
- Ensure stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for sprint planning.
- Balance business value, technical feasibility, and regulatory needs.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (business, operations, IT, compliance) to gather requirements and align on product priorities.
- Communicate product updates, progress, and outcomes to all stakeholders.
Agile Execution
- Work closely with development teams as part of the Agile Scrum team to ensure timely delivery of features and enhancements.
- Participate in agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
Performance & Risk Management
- Monitor product performance metrics (e.g., user adoption, uptime, satisfaction).
- Identify and mitigate product-related risks and dependencies.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in digital product development.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
- Demonstrated ability in backlog grooming, prioritization, and writing clear user stories.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (business, design, IT, compliance).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Should-Have Qualifications:
- Industry experience in the banking or financial services sector.
- Experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst for a mobile banking application.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in developing or managing features for Online Account Opening (OAO) in mobile banking apps.
- Knowledge of banking regulations, particularly around account onboarding for:
- New-to-bank and existing-to-bank customers.
- CASA (Current Account/Savings Account), Debit, and Credit account types.
Preferred Tools & Technologies:
- Jira, Confluence, Figma, and analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Firebase).
- Understanding of REST APIs and integration with core banking systems is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.Certifications in Scrum Product Ownership (CSPO), Agile, or SAFe are advantageous.
