Senior PHP Developer

We're looking for a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer who will be responsible for leading the technical planning and execution of PHP migration projects. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute a PHP migration effort, with minimal hand-holding
• Provide technical recommendations and articulate a high-level approach (e.g., This is what Ill do and how Ill start)
• Refactor and modernize existing PHP code, making it more scalable, cloud-adaptive, and aligned with best practices
• Work independently and troubleshoot unforeseen issues, especially in relation to API deployment and performance (e.g., resolving long-request issues)
  

Key Qualifications:

• PHP: Advanced level, especially in Symfony framework.
• API Platform: Solid experience building and migrating APIs using the API Platform.
  
• Reverse Proxy Knowledge: Understanding of reverse proxies and related configurations, as the client has limited in-house expertise here.
  
• Cloud Readiness: Ability to refactor applications to be more cloud-adaptive; familiar with cloud environments and deployment practices.
  
• Configuration Experience: Comfortable navigating and resolving issues related to system configuration, API integration, and environment setup.
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Has led or significantly contributed to migration projects (ideally PHP to modern Symfony/API platform)
• Ability to communicate their approach to non-technical stakeholders
• Exhibits autonomy and confidence, able to provide clarity and direction in undefined roles
• Familiar with customization and optimization best practices for performance and maintainability.
