Role Overview:

As QA Tester will be responsible for validating that the digital banking builds meet business and customer expectations. He/she will test features across mobile and web applications, ensuring functionality, usability, and reliability. He/she might also contribute to basic test automation efforts to improve efficiency and coverage.

Responsibilities:

  • Review requirements and design documents to create comprehensive test cases.
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing on digital banking builds/releases.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and UX designers to ensure quality standards are upheld.
  • Raise detailed and reproducible defect reports; verify bug fixes.
  • Maintain and execute manual test cases.
  • Contribute to building and executing basic automated test scripts is a plus.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies: standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Support UAT activities and documentation for regulatory/compliance needs.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in QA testing (digital banking or fintech environment experience is a plus).
  • Good understanding of SDLC and STLC in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong knowledge of functional and regression testing methodologies.
  • Experience with using Jira or similar tools.
  • Experience testing APIs using tools like Postman, and usage automation tools like BrowserStack is a bonus.
  • Understanding of banking products and digital user journeys is an advantage.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills to articulate issues and work with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive and eager to learn, especially digital banking trends.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing tasks.
