The Solutions Architect is an individual contributor within the CTO organization, partnering with business stakeholders, technology suppliers, and internal technology teams to research, design, implement, and modify technology solutions. The role also supports adoption of SBC's enterprise architecture guardrails within the associated business unit, ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards and business needs while guiding delivery through architecture methodologies and agile project practices.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Research, design, and implement technology solutions in collaboration with business stakeholders and technology teams
- Identify areas for modification in existing programs and develop those modifications
- Drive the adaptation and implementation of SBC enterprise architecture guardrails for the associated business unit
- Work with technology suppliers and internal teams to evaluate and implement solution approaches
- Apply architecture methodologies and frameworks to guide solution design and alignment
- Communicate solution designs, recommendations, and progress through clear verbal and written updates
- Support solution delivery by leveraging project management methodologies and agile development practices
Required Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in solution architecture
- Minimum of 5 years in a similar role in the banking or financial services industry
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and architecture, including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
- Experience with multiple architecture methodologies and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of banking and financial services industry, including regulations and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and agile development practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a related field
- Understanding of key technologies and trends in the industry, including digital, cloud, and security
