Senior Backend Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design and build high-performance backend services using Bun, TypeScript, and Elysia.js.
• Architect and maintain complex database schemas with PostgreSQL and Prisma ORM.
• Implement blockchain integrations for NFT marketplace operations, provenance tracking, and Web3 features.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and design teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Drive technical decisions around architecture, scalability, and performance optimisation.
• Champion code quality through testing, documentation, and thoughtful code reviews.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including complex queries, indexing, and performance optimisation.
• Strong understanding of REST API design, error handling, and validation patterns.
• Experience with AWS services (S3, EventBridge, Secrets Manager, ElastiCache) and infrastructure design (Terraform).
• Solid grasp of testing strategies (unit, integration, E2E) and quality assurance.
• Hands-on Web3 experience (e.g., Ethers).
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English.
