Job Overview:
The WordPress Website Manager will cycle through our portfolio of
websites, identifying and addressing any technical or content-related
issues. This role requires a blend of technical WordPress skills, good
SEO understanding, and content management abilities. The ideal candidate
will work independently, making necessary updates and improvements to
ensure each site operates smoothly and remains relevant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regularly review and audit websites to ensure they are fully functional and optimized.
- Fix any broken website elements, including links, plugins, and images.
- Update website content to keep it fresh, unique, and engaging.
- Collaborate with the content team to integrate new content and enhance existing pages.
- Work with the R&D team to implement SEO best practices and improve site traffic.
- Monitor website performance and make necessary adjustments to improve speed and usability.
- Ensure all websites are up-to-date with the latest WordPress and plugin updates.
- Identify opportunities for website improvements and implement solutions independently.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with WordPress.
- Proficient in basic HTML/CSS and comfortable making technical fixes within WordPress.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles and ability to implement light SEO improvements.
- Experience in content management and the ability to update and enhance website content.
- Experience using Google Sheets and/or Mircosoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and solve problems independently.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to efficiently cycle through and maintain a large portfolio of websites.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently without direct supervision.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with website optimization tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and other web analytics tools.
- Basic graphic design skills for creating or modifying images for websites.
