Job Title: Paralegal (Litigation)
Overview:
A respected litigation firm is seeking a skilled Paralegal to support its attorneys through all phases of litigation from case intake to trial and appeal. This is a great opportunity for a driven legal professional who thrives in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and provide analytical support.
- Manage case files (digital and physical), including organizing and maintaining all documentation.
- Handle all aspects of discovery: draft/respond to requests, organize document productions, and prep for depositions.
- Support trial preparation: organize exhibits, prep witnesses, and coordinate courtroom logistics.
- Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and handle communications with clients and opposing counsel.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of litigation-related laws, procedures, and court rules.
- Perform additional legal and administrative duties as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelors degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
- 2+ years of paralegal experience in a litigation-focused law firm.
- Strong legal writing and research skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Capable of balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Comfortable using legal software, document management platforms, and litigation tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and support staff.
Additional Details:
- Full-time, hourly position.
- Non-exempt classification.
- Some lifting and physical movement may occasionally be required (light materials under 25 lbs).
